Join Urban Jews and Hadassah for the presentation of three short films directed by Israeli Film Students from Hadassah College Jerusalem!

3.23.08 Mosaic Hike: Lacamas Lake

Escape to Lacamas Lake in Camas, WA, only 15 miles from Portland but a world away. Spend the first Sunday of Spring on this flat and scenic hike along the Heritage Trail skirting the shoreline of Lacamas Lake, passing stately homes with scenic waterfront vistas. We'll stop for a picnic lunch halfway through on this roundtrip excursion and enjoy the views.

WHERE: Lacamas Heritage Trail, Camas Washington

CARPOOL MEETING PLACE: Gateway Park and Ride, located off of I-84 (Exit 7 eastbound from Portland) at 1321 NE 99th Ave (between Multnomah and Pacific, behind the Gateway Fred Meyer). We'll meet on the sidewalk on the south side of the parking garage at 10:00am.

DISTANCE: 7 miles round trip, flat terrain

Sukkot

Urban Jews/Machar together with Temple Beth Israel did outreach at the Portland Farmer's Market by Portland State University. The holiday of Succot helped raise awareness about hunger and homelessness.
